They name the dog Marley after Bob Marley and he the most excitable animal either of them has ever seen. He jumps, he slobbers, he chews on everything, he swallows expensive jewelry.

A few months before I was born, my parents adopted a golden retriever puppy named Abby. As soon as I was born, Abby and I were the best of friends. We pretty much grew up together. This book reflects the same relationship I had with my dog, and that is why it means so much to me.
