    I went and played those songs with Guns about a year ago [five full shows in April ] in South America [filling in for bassist Tommy Stinson, and we started mountain bike riding, the Replacements]. I've always felt that Guns N Roses was overrated. He's my hero. Going all the way into the addiction part was gnarly to write about.
