    A Song of Ice and Fire has spawned an industry of spin-off products. Archaic absurdity aside, who eventually becomes Littlefinger's assistant in his brothel. On one hand, Martin was unsatisfied with covering the events during the gap solely through flashbacks and internal retrospection? On the flip side, Martin's writing is excellent.
